Laura Carmosino
A native to Montreal, Laura grew up aspiring to be an entrepreneur. Laura's appreciation and dedication to music has long since been a prominent part of her life, and her passion has helped many musicians along the way.
After completing her Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Concordia University, Laura worked several corporate marketing jobs while doing countless hours of music industry volunteer work on the side. This work reaffirmed her love of working in the music industry so solidly that she soon after co-founded Filter Box Media with Massimo Farina.
When Laura isn't working she enjoys a good board game, baking and traveling.

- What made you want to work in the music industry?
Discovering new music and promoting bands was a hobby of mine since I was a teen. I worked marketing jobs in the corporate world for a while but quickly realized I wanted to do something I was actually passionate about. I began working with bands on the side of my day job and soon after decided to do it full time. I love my job!

- Do you play any instruments?
Sadly no, I can’t even play the instruments on RockBand.
- What is your favorite way to discover new music?
I’ve discovered a ton of music via Myspace, going to lots of local shows and festivals, downloading random torrents, etc. My favorite way is probably through word of mouth, I have a few select friends that have similar musical tastes as me so we always share newly discovered music that we love.
- How many concerts and local shows do you attend per year?
Around 35 local, major and festival shows.
