Today’s #MusicMonday post is brought to you by the number 25.
On Friday, the people of Montreal were blessed with an overwhelming dose of sultry weather. A record-high of 25.3°C hit the city; almost ten degrees above the now dethroned mark from last year. While everyone had a different way of celebrating this solar-powered stroke of luck, the same joie de vivre was innate in all of us. My day was spent with good friends, good food, and of course, good music. Walking down the cobblestoned Saint-Paul never felt so good.
Today’s tracks are inspired by that joie de vivre. We’re not able to preserve that beautiful weather, be we can surely preserve that radiant feeling we received with the proper mindset. Here’s to hoping these high-spirited songs hit the spot.
