The first video and track from Shad’s upcoming new album TSOL was released yesterday. The reason I decided to write about this track is because “Yaa I Get It” continues to demonstrate Shad’s ability to be awesome, humble, smart and relevant. But please, don’t take my word for it - watch the video and get the free download here.
It’s been almost 2 years exactly since I first met Shad in Montreal. Our team was fortunate to have been a part in the production of a concert during his run with the Skate4Cancer tour. He left a lasting impression on all of us and we’ve been very happy to watch his consistent and impressive progress as an artist.
Some notable verses that made me smile:
I hate the catch phrase ‘Canadian rap sensation’, Shad K. don’t have chains big as the Appalachians.
The precision of my flows in terms of tone and diction is akin to that of the old masters of prose and fiction.
Living on the street, nah I’m living on the road. Consistent, making fans multiply like a coefficient.
