#MusicMonday - Caribou, The Besnard Lakes, Owen Pallett

music monday

We’re all huge fans of Canadian music here at Filter Box, and we’d like to extend a congratulations to all of the Polaris Music Prize nominees this year. The Polaris Music Prize is a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian record. Owen Pallett and Caribou are no strangers to Polaris, with Owen taking the prize home in 2006 (under the name Final Fantasy at the time) and Caribou two years later. Could we have our first two-time winner? Perhaps our main man Shad will reign supreme with his stellar TSOL album! The winning artist and album will be announced on September 20th; plenty of time for you to give each piece a good listen and decide who you think should be crowned the victor. Have a good week, everyone!

“Odessa” by Caribou

“Albatross” by The Besnard Lakes

“Lewis Takes Off His Shirt” by Owen Pallett
